Yes, and after Texas and Oklahoma leave the Big 12 that conference will be in the same boat as well.  The ACC and Big 12 are both sinking ships.  There is absolutely no doubt that the SEC and BiG are considered to be superior conference.  It will be them and everyone else.  I think, as many are now considering inevitable, that the larger programs from the ACC and Big 12 will eventually end up in the SEC or Big 10.  It really won't matter much if we are in the AAC, Big 12, or ACC, they will all be in the same boat soon enough.  It is honestly fine with me.  It will still be enjoyable football to watch and competitive with a lot of parody.  Only so many players can go to the biggest schools.  Enjoy the ride Bulls fans.  Its ok.

It does matter as we can only hope we end up in a conference that triples our current TV/post season revenue at a minimum.  Without that extra $15-$20 million per year, it might be a rough road ahead.

So very true and was going to the bowl game regardless however who wouldn’t rather play Syracuse vs Troy/Ga Southern.  Optics matter, money matters, I don’t need to be in the cool club but would like to be more mainstream instead of kicking it with the nerds.

Not only that, but we'd have way fewer teams to compete against to get a playoff spot. So there's that, too.

I don't know. Fewer spots are going to be allotted everytime they adjust this playoff ****.

Exactly. There might be 12 spots, but 6 are set aside for SEC, 5 for Big 10, and 1 at large. Just in case there happens to be a good Big 12 team.

I'm currently high on OCS reveal (and our potential program turnaround)...

USF to the Big 10 (ACC may be the next Pac 12), bring in Miami too. They can dominate the Florida market since FSU is a great fit for the SEC.

I was looking at Maryland, Rutgers, Purdue, and Illinois... and I think we can compete.

Where does USF end up in this scenario? I tried to skim it, but too many words.

in some regional conference with Miami, UCF, and FAU (maybe FSU too).

Doesn't sound bad but wouldn't Miami be with the big boys?

With any luck this mistreatment will hasten the departure of FSU from the ACC to the B1G and open up a spot for USF.

One of FSU's trustees says the Noles' CFP snub shows "the Big Ten and SEC are viewed as superior conferences, and if you aren’t in one of those conferences, you are at a disadvantage."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
