If you have been to the west coast over the last 5 years, you would see they prioritize lots of other things over athletics at the cities and universities.

Yeah it is a mess and it is a shame. Hopefully things get better in our lifetimes because it is a beautiful region of the world.

Conspiracy theory much?   So why have the LA and San Francisco teams won championships in the NBA, NFL and MLB in the past 5 years?   The PAC-10 was run by idiots, which is why it collapsed.  The premier programs got out of Dodge and went to better conferences for more money.

Maybe spend less time on echo chamber websites and spend less time watching echo chamber news programs.

I have been to the Pacific coast numerous times to visit my bil/sil in Portland and Eugene.  Drugs, homeless camps, crime, tents, trash and, human waste everywhere. The general public they don't care about Oregon athletics in that area. Usc and ucla has lots of empty seats every game. Been to LA, SD,and SF numerous times and lots of similar vibes. There is a reason there is a mass exodus to Texas and South east.

Tampa is great, but still not a shining jewel. Big cities have big city problems.

West coast conferences are moving to the middle and  eastern conferences of the country.
