You all make good points re: stadium renovations/retractions in capacity. One other - many of these stadiums are decades and decades old - some even pushing 100 years old. NFL teams demand renovations to their stadiums nearly every 10 years, and new stadiums entirely every 30-50. Many college football stadiums have done nothing but expanded and built suites, so the "regular" seating is still bleacher/****** aisles/packed in fans/poor concessions/poor bathrooms/etc. We... have never really experienced that being at RJS (I never visited The Big Sombrero). 

Re: conference realignment - the B1G vetted "more than a dozen schools" before last round of realignment (picking up Oregon/Wash), and Yahoo listed 12 by name - 

Notre Dame, UNC, Clemson, FSU, Pitt, Kansas, Cal, Stanford, Arizona, Virginia (+ Oregon/Wash). 

5 years from now that list might be quite different.

Notably absent is Miami and surprise, Pitt is there on the list.  Both play in off-campus stadiums.   If I recall correctly, Kansas and FSU are currently working on OCS renovations.  Still can't believe that Cal and Stanford are bound for the ACC.  Should be in the BIG IMO.
