Those two teams would be good adds. But how much further is Boise State West from Colorado. Not that much I would think especially if you are flying. San Diego State as well. At that point might as well try to add Fresno State, OSU, and WSU as well. 2 of these teams were ranked this year, and Fresno looks right now to be the team most likely to get the New Year 6 bowl

Boise State would be the best add the AAC could possibly make.

New AAC

West: WSU,OSU, CSU, Air Force, Boise State, San Diego State, Boise State, Tulsa, Rice, UTSA, North Texas

East: USF, ECU, Temple, Navy, Army, Appalachian State, Marshall, Tulane, Memphis, UAB, FAU, Charlotte

I still think what SMU did was smart. They are 100 percent guaranteed to at least be in the ACC. Even if the ACC loses teams there will still  be enough quality teams left to form the base of a great conference. Syracuse, BC, Wake Forrest, Duke, Cal, Pit are going nowhere. Also teams like Stanford, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State are not likely to be picked up.
