I did not say you were wrong. I am just saying it would make more sense for the ACC unless both Florida teams left.

Didn't mean to intimate you did .... and like you said, the entering into new markets could also be a criteria. Bottom line, it couldn't hurt to be winning football games but I think the die is already cast for if there is more G5 upward movement and football won't be a huge driver like the last call up.

Who knows the criteria besides winning and market access? A few the pac12 teams leaving  to the b12 are not good over the last 5 years . If anything i see the b1g and sec  start trimming the deadweight in the future.

I think the ultimate criteria is regional interest in the school and its football team. Regardless of manner in which they broadcast the game, they want eyeballs more than anything. USF needs to get to the point where folks don’t have to ask which sports bar in the area is actually showing the hometown football game.

I am conflicted.  I don't want to count on expansion going our way as I don't want to suffer the disappointment of it not.  But on the other hand, I'm weary of the ever shifting goalposts.  The idea that we don't deserve to move up until we do this or that.  We are good enough right now.

  

But alas, we don't control this so we must continue the track we're on.  Keep building our brand.
