The conference is the cause of this. The lack of interest, ambition, purpose etc around usf football is the fault of our conference situation.

Independent or fold the program. No other option.

Where’s pookah when you need him …

Not sure I follow this analogy, football is football and nerd games are need games.  Sex is like pizza, even bad pizza is still pretty good, however D&D will always suck, good or bad.

To be more on your analogy being the best at hogging isn’t something to hang your hat on because while we all can use a slump buster it’s not really a slump if your actually trying to compete at the bottom.

People laugh but it really is that simple, you are who you surround yourself with and you can’t play with **** without getting some on you.

A lot of things are irrelevant in this conference shuffling world. The networks are playing match marker. The only school that might have hurt there odds is BYU, unless they start playing Friday night away games or something. If the networks want you they will find a way. But I think the networks are over leveraging themselves and it could set up some of these schools for failure. Rumor is that Disney wants to sell abc, espn could be next. What if the networks can’t bring the bag and schools get left without revenue to support these national conferences?

Ok, I get that however we haven’t been laid in so long, we need to romp a couple biguns before we think we can land a half decent chick.  I am a slump buster believer under any circumstance. We simply have a difference of opinion however we now are are speaking the same language, thanks for the clarification.

I mean if you are starving it’s always better to eat but it’s one thing to order off the dollar menu and it’s another to think you accomplished something and brag about doing so

We haven’t eaten in so long, bragging hasn’t crossed my mind in years, hell I won’t  wear our USF stuff, I am simply hungry, a cracker will suffice.

I’ve made it a point to fly to another country every time we play

This conference didn't keep Houston, UCF, Cincy, and SMU from thriving and moving up. Its not the conference that has held us back.

Folding the program should never be an option, and Independence doesn't make sense either. The best thing right now for our woes is to win in the AAC.

The people running the show matter. Blindly throwing money at problems and not holding people accountable will almost never get you very far. Leadership had to cast a vision and be steadfast in making that vision a reality. We approach athletics as an auxiliary, and others made it part of the core of their schools. We got AAU and others got conferences. You can do both, but I guess we thought we had to mortgage one for the other.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
