Yeah I was wondering about that too until I heard some other rumors that it had to do with something else. I do believe CAG is going to be all on him. Do or die now imo

Everything he does seems driven by what’s the least disruptive middle ground bland thing that I can do in order to make sure I will have landing spots once I agree to a separation package at the conclusion of leaving us in worse spots in every regard than when I first got here.

Conference expansion is the only thing that matters. Some get there by relevancy and the fastest path to that now is NIL, others get there by undercutting everyone else and no one gets there by long term building projects.

So of course we pick the one that distracts from focus and vacuums out money from the program and that has the added bonus of taking a long time and bringing no actual value to the existential crisis.

Kind of reminds me of someone

Suspicious that this has been put out to sway the ACC into taking Calford.  I just want something good to happen for USF.  At this point I'm not sure what that is.

The way I see it. USF needs to beat FAMU, Rice, and Navy through those first 5 games of the season. Then after that, we’re stylin’!!

The thing that you are missing is that by that being your schedule you are already losing

I wouldn’t say 3-2 after 5 games is considered losing. 3-2 will bring the confidence that this program needs. If we are sitting at 3-2 after Navy game I’m going to start planning for a bowl bid..

Yes, that's why it would not be a big deal if we had a few away games a year against teams located in the Far West. The benefits of playing a San Diego State or Boise State at their place would far outweigh the negatives. You beat a Boise state at their place  and it bolsters your end of year resume. The same cant be said when you beat Charlotte away.

Beat Boise at their place and it means you had to watch a game played on blue turf. The horror.

That was the thing I ever saw when I bought my first HDTV.  It was shocking to the eyes.

In a different time I would agree with you, but most of the best non AAC, non Power 4 teams are on the West Coast, so in my opinion it would make sense to unite. How much further are these West Coast teams really compared to travelling to Tulsa, and UTSA?

if UCLA and Washington can be in the Big 10, and Stanford can be in the ACC why  wouldn't Boise state and OSU be a good fit for the AAC, or USF in  a Pac merger?

Think it all depends on being able to pull the reverse merger off with the PAC which would include keeping their power conference autonomous status.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
