The same cant be said when you beat Charlotte away.

I'll be happy to beat anyone away at this point. How many days since our last away game W?

The issue is more about your other sports.  Not football going out there once in awhile

That's a fair point and there is no doubt there are drawbacks, but ultimately the two sports that matter the most are football and men's basketball, and you can always work something out where let's say the women's basketball team combine an away trip over lets say 6 days where they play OSU away on Tuesday, WSU away on Thursday, and San Diego State away on Sunday.

This year yes, but starting next year I expect us in a bowl game, and the year after that the sky is the limit. If we want to get in the playoffs playing a good schedule only benefits us.

Just saw a segment about realignment on College Game Day.  Had maps to demonstrate some of the changes.  The crew did their typical insincere hand-wringing over the loss of rivalries and Rece told Thamel that he hoped there was only worries over coaching changes this season (instead of the continual realignment drama).  They talked of the ACC as being the next source of further alignment, teams potentially moving into the BIG or SEC.  Didn't hear talk of Calford's situation (or possibly missed it).

Everything can be worked out, but that's the issue not football going over there for 1 game here and there.

The year after that we are scheduled to play Boise here and at Florida and Miami. The year after that, at Bama and BYU. We'll have the schedule both those years to be a playoff contender ... ****, based strictly on the schedule, we could be a playoff contender this year and next year.

No under no circumstance would I want to go independent. The breakaway would only be If we do it together with other teams in a coordinated way.  Not just AAC reams, but Mountain West teams, and possibly others like WSU, OSU,  and Army

Breakaway PAC + AAC + MWC = alpha move

Going independent = alpha move

Staying in the AAC, hoping = beta move

Hopefully it is that first option.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
