Agreed. Win the conference at least once over the next 3 years, maybe go to a high-profile bowl, flirt with the playoff, open the stadium, and it will be impossible for USF to continue to be looked over.

This is not the level of execution that we are known for.

Let Cal and Stanford go to ACC.  If SMU wants to sell out let them go too.  Get Remaining 2 pac teams and bring in MW.  If we are 20-24 team conference so be it

So they’d rather take their chances playing for free in the ACC on the east coast then associate with AAC and MWC teams and get paid?

They think this elevates their status rather than looking like a joke.

It does because 99% of the people watching college sports don't follow it on message boards like this and know or care about tv payouts.

The point of all of this is getting a universitys recognition up and increasing exposure and prestige. Dropping down to the AAC is so far beneath a school like Stanford.

USF is the only school dumb enough to let ourselves be lowered from a power conference to the old sun belt.

I think the proposal reeks of desperation and only weakens Calfurd's position; particularly when combined with any "hard lobbying" by Notre Dame.  If I were the four ACC holdouts, I would put forth a condition for voting to let them in on getting all their share and making ND a full member.  Then let that simmer.

Are the MW teams going to pay a buyout to come here. Honestly without CAL and Stanford. Best bet for Washing State and Oregon State is to join the MWC, which then becomes better than the AAC.

I kind of think desperation is the appropriate reaction at the moment.
They are trying to avoid the quagmire that USF and other have nots are in. They know it will destroy interest in their football programs. I can only hope USF is acting with equal desperation.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
