RIght back to my concern that Cal and Stanford go to the ACC and then OSU and WSU are off to the B12 with their assets as the incentive to be added.

IF Calford goes to the ACC (which I doubt), I say we focus on MBB and leave CFB as an extracurricular (still believe the OCS is important). MBB can be a huge thing if we are consistently winning and going to tournaments. CFB would be forever in G5 which is fine to cheer for but not winning anything.

Stanford and cal will get to the acc. Smu will probably get in as well offering to take no tv money. 

 

We should offer the same or we'll be stuck in the sun Belt forever.

PAC4/AAC4/MWC4 sounded pretty cool to me, but w/o Stanford/Cal, not so much.

After many re-reads, I think it's - our priority is rebuilding with the other PAC teams and adding versus going to a G5 conference.  But who knows.

Still even without Stanford/ Cal a league with OSU,WSU, Boise State, San Diego State, Air Force, Fresno State plus la creme de la creme of AAC teams (which includes us) would be far superior to our current AAC setup. So I still think it would be worth it.

That's the thing, it's a terrible precedent that SMU will be establishing.  What will a new member give up?
