will keep telling people that the ACC is probably one of the strongest conferences due to their geography. They won’t be going away anytime soon.

That would be the best option but FSU is stuck for now.  We would need a favorable buyout clause.

Yes. Traveling eventually takes its tool. Look at WVU. They have not been relevant since they big east days

I really don't believe WVU being irrelevant in sports has anything to do with the amount of travel. Probably has everything to do with coaching.

And really what is an hour and a half more to fly to Boise State or Stanford compared to SMU and Tulsa.

The time zone change is a B.

Rice keeps coming up.  Hmm.   Bunch of private schools and we're it for the eastern time zone.

I would take Memphis over Rice every day of the week and twice on Sunday, but it seems this is an academic/market thing.

Athletically and market size, yes. Academically, no.

Also, in regards to that article about the B1G only wanting ND. Yea, I would bet if they could pull Miami and ND into the fold. That would be the play. They get ND and UM is now AAU with the South Florida Market. I think FSU is their second option for the Florida market.

ND is running out of conferences to loosely affiliate with. If the ACC goes away like the PAC did, none of the remaining P3 conferences want to have a partial member of ND. They would want full membership.
