Same old thing from the elitists, NIMBY!!

I am sure the aac, sunbelt,mwc, cusa, and Mac would accept them if they applied. Cal and Stanford just would not get enough money to make it worth their while.  I am sure they end up in the b1g or b12 .

The point being that the P5 don't care what happens to CFB until it affects one of their own.

I would agree with you if it were only FSU and Clemson who want to leave for more $$$........Don't overlook the fact that it has been widely reported that the Magnificent 7 have been working behind the scenes to get out of the GoR and leave the ACC

Lol nothing about Blacksburg or VaTech is "magnificent." Self-glossing is always a bad idea!

Anyways, the fact some that some teams leaked to Brett that they wanted to look into getting out of the ACC back in May, before the PAC-12 imploded and all their spots in the B1G and Big 12 were taken by former PAC-12 schools, doesn't mean they currently have that option.

Neither NC State nor VaTech are valuable brands. They're almost never mentioned in connection with the P2 or the SEC. And I've seen only sparse mention of Virginia, which is why I consider it a bubble school.

@CFBHeather

ND AD Jack Swarbrick told me the reason they advocated for Cal and Stanford was because “The notion that two of the very best academic institutions in the world who also play D1 sports could be abandoned in this latest chapter of realignment is an indictment of college athletics.

So I guess college athletics has been "indicted." Does that mean it's time to prosecute? Because I'm all about that.

I think only 4 would have a place to go. Keep in mind they would only want big ten or SEC. So I believe Clemson & FSU to SEC. That probably will be the first moves. Years down the line the big ten might expand again and they will probably want two schools from the south east or south west. Probably Kansas & ASY from big 12 & Miami & GT from ACC:

given the crazy **** we have seen unfold recently,  I wouldn't be the least surprised to see FSU and Clemson to the SEC, UNC and UVA to the B1G and then the XII grabs 2 of the best of the rest.........

Cal is apparently under a mountain of stadium debt

How could that possible happen when you have an OCS in a P5 conference?

    With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
