I'd swap UConn for SMU but otherwise I like it. 

If SMU wants to join, in addition to playing for free for 5-7 years, they need to cater BBQ at all conference get-togethers through 2036. Only way it happens.

Yup, I think if we can get back to 5-7 as a floor and 7-5 as a norm, we’d be fine.

Agreed.  Mediocrity would be a HUGE upgrade from where we've been the last 3 years.

Do you see the PAC4 securing AAC teams for 2024 and then adding MWC teams in 2025?  Meanwhile, if I'm ESPN, I would make cuts to the AAC media deal due to the lost value.

Anyone who has worked for dying businesses knows of the fun infinite cost cutting.  Should be fun to have that filter into our entertainment as well.

With the new aac schedule this year I would be very disappointed with the players and coaching staff if we can't  at least go 5-7 and at least o.500 in conference play. For a team that has been terrible the last three years they have a schedule that gives them hope to finally get some success on the field.

I would wait to see what happens with the ACC. If four teams leave (FSU, Clemson, UNC, Va Tech) I think a few things happen.

1. Some teams get snagged by the B12 (maybe Miami, Pitt, UConn, one other).

2. Remaining teams from ACC/PAC come together and fill up with the valuable teams from MWC/AAC (this is our chance to get in). This conference has the best shot to be P4.

3. CFP gets restructured for the 4 conference champs getting an autobid (the 12 team structure was mainly to ensure each of the power conference had 1 rep, and the G5 was given a bone to shut them up). 12 team playoff, 4 autobids for the power conferences, rest are at large, and the G teams are completely cut out.

4. Group teams consolidate in some way, and teams left out start looking at how much they are willing to spend. Some teams drop down to FCS or shut down football programs.

5. Some kind of structure/rules for NIL get put in place.
