Hearing all of this ACC teams leaving. My new pecking order for conference (big 2 aside):

B12

PAC/MWC

ACC (after losing FSU, Clemson, UNC, and whomever else).

I honestly think once teams start leaving, B12 will be able to snag Pitt, Cuse, UConn.

SEC will snag a few, as does B10.

Rest join us out west

WSU and OSU bring nothing but costs to the ACC, UCONN and USF are better adds. Bridging the gap for Cal and Stanford are the ones that bring value, but that’s ALOT of traveling.

PAC4 had preliminary talks with MWC about merging. Stanford said they would not be a part of said merger as did Cal. ORST and WSU may be left with all assets and rights of the PAC. Meeting with Apple that was to follow to discuss expansion did not occur.

This is probably old news to everyone, but it's interesting.  How does it get determined who has the assets and rights...the last team left?

Why Stanford/Cal to the ACC would make sense: -- ACC can get them pro-rata. -- Academic fits. Why Stanford/Cal to the ACC would not make sense: -- Everything else

What would Cal and Stanford to the ACC look like? “It's complicated. There's a significant travel expense. I think it's going to be all over the board with both the ADs and the presidents in what they may want to do.”

That is a very long shot at best. Travel costs would be too crazy to justify it

They will backfill with mostly MWC & AAC schools

If they raid us, who is left?

Conference realignment could have an impact on how CFP bids are doled out in the 12-team era starting in 2024

Could two G5 conference teams get in the playoff?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
