Don't think ACC has any form of pro-rata or expansion clause. I think their idea is that if they agree to bring ESPN some west coast time slots, ESPN may be willing to play ball on renegotiating their TV deal to an extent. ESPN currently has zero inventory for the west coast (late) time slots. Adding those two or four west coast schools will allow for a minimum of 1-2 games per week that can be shown on ESPN affiliate channels in the late time slots. If PAC4 is relevant, PACC after dark could be good enough to allow for expansion. What do you do with the PAC-12 Network though?

ESPN couldn't care less about the late night time slots. they have plenty of inventory with big 12 west coast teams and wac

Nobody on the west coast cares about college football and nobody on the east coast cares about watching cal/stanford/washstate/orstate.

ESPN would have moved them to the big 12 if they really wanted them. More than likely they will move them into the wac.

I would welcome OSU and WSU (without Stanford and Cal) to the AAC*

Honest question, I thought the WAC got out of the college football business?

This is the original 2013 GoR. Something changed in 2016

They are.  @Bull94 obviously meant the Mountain West Conference.

Nothing change in the document -- just the ESPN agreement.

I was reading about the Apple deal. From what I saw, and it may be completely incorrect, was:

$25 mill base

then tiered increases based on subscriptions.

$30+ mill

$50 mill

after that there were no numbers listed

I read that in the article from The Athletic.

Very interesting to see how everything developed and how close the PAC really was to sticking together.

Absolutely yes on OSU  and WSU. If the Pac loses Stanford and Cal in the next few days, and the Pac dies, the AAC needs to strike first before the Mountain West does. I hope our administration is communicating that fact to the AAC commissioner and administration.

If the AAC loses this war against the Mountain West we should be looking to join the Mountain West along with Tulane, Memphis, and SMU.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
