The money would have to be better to make this change.

Hell yeah!! I don’t see USF giving up their place in the Absolute Ass Conference for a spot in the Partial Ass Conference unless the money is right…

solid point, but USC was already gone.

I know I think that is a  key component why the offer was low without usc and ucla.

From CFN today in an article about the SEC being late to the party...

And even if the SEC and the ready-to-bolt ACC schools foot the $130ish million in exit fees, or figure out a legal loophole, that still doesn’t increase the conference’s footprint to markets outside of the geographic bottom right of the United States. But who’s left that makes any sense? USF? The Pac-4? Tulane? It feels a bit like the SEC thought the party invitation was for next week.

Late to the party?? Didin't they start this latest round of ********?

Lol tells us that they don’t play close attention. All SEC has to do is invite Ok State, WVU, FSU & Clemson and we are basically seeing more shuffling

That's what I was thinking. Thought that was a pretty dumb take away from the article. I don't think they give a **** about geographical expansion because they don't have to.

What does Virginia and Wvu add besides a new TV market ?  Both will be bottom feeders in the sec to fight with vandy for last place.

Thought the exact same thing ...... I think the article was quoted just for the mention of USF. There was no other redeeming value to it.

I responded NC and Virginia, not Virginia and WVU. In any case, they (NC and Virginia) are both better flagship academic schools in new states with better media markets. Arguably better athletics in both football and basketball. Just my opinion, but I think those would be better fits in the SEC than Okie State and WVU.

It would be interesting  to see is the TV and comference money would look like.

Replace NIL with Frequent Flyer miles and this could work!   Just kidding.  I don't like it.  But it is what it is.  It was a move to P5, now it is just a move.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
