These most recent moves have nothing to do with ESPN.

I'm still holding a Big East grudge. 😀

ESPN will not stop until CFB is destroyed for the fans. It seems to be a Disney problem in general. They are strip miners.

Ratings drive consolidation. they only want to pay the programs that drive ratings.

I think I heard where the Rays had been on sunday night baseball once since 2011 until this year. One of the best baseball teams for the last 8-10 years.

Yankees/red sox on every other week even if they are terrible.

eventually espn/fox will whittle down to the top 30 most watched programs and they will pimp them on all their shows and play them as the big national match ups.

everyone else will be subject to espn+ streams.

The Pac-12 is just a casualty in the game of college athletics realignment that is powered by networks ESPN and Fox and throws tradition out window.

Was hoping Disney would of sold ESPN. ESPN was a lot better before Disney brought them

I don’t think they just throw doo at the wall and in fact use their sources. However when you have that many sources that have conflicting information within minutes of each other, and you aren’t in the business, your sources are the internet.

We keep seeing USF as a great investment, but no one else seems to care.  They want MOAR OHIO STATE, ALABAMA, MURICA.

I know, right!  Will we see it crossover to we will be adding USF as they give us value?  Part of me wants 'em to continue overlooking us.  Then we get our **** together and start beating everyone.

They can disagree all they want. The B1G is no longer going to be with EPSN and they just effectively froze ESPN out of the West Coast with their 4 additions.

What about the new B12 (PAC) additions and ESPN picking up the pro rata?

it will come down to the big 10 (fox) and SEC (espn).

eventually they will merge and cut the remaining dead weight (vandy, Purdue, etc) to create a "National College Football League". top 30 or 40 teams.

ESPNs profits were down 29%. They couldn't care less about overpaying for pac 12 teams.

they have to renegotiate with NBA.

Hell Fox didn't want them either. That's why their best offer was for streaming from Apple.

The conference broke apart and ESPN/Fox split up the remains and let the bottom 4 die off.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
