With any change comes opportunity.  It is obviously a long shot for us in realignment, but a chance nonetheless.  USF has AAU going for it which has been an important factor in the past associations of the remnants of the PAC.  We desire the Autonomy standing that the PAC is holding.  Maybe an eastern pod of teams is being considered.

If this happens, those road trips to Corvallis and Pullman should be fun!  At least Stanford and Cal are in the Bay area.

I think all it would take is a vote from the NCAA board to remove the pac-12 autonomy. But I'm not 100% on that.

If the PAC exists there's implications for the future FB playoffs and much more.  It seems that the PAC will lose their autonomy eventually, but for now it would be great to have that.

This person has been right.  He was the first to post that the Four Corner schools would be going to the Big 12 - more than a year ago.  And lo and behold he was right about that.

Plus ... this is a message board not a news site.  Posts like that are no different than when someone posts "this would make a great conference" posts.

This makes me think of the end of the Big East as a football conference.  I feel bad for those teams on the west coast.  Tradition down the drain.  Being left behind to pick up the pieces.  I'm sure the powers-that-be at these phenomonal institutions that are being left were at least paying attention to what happened in the past.  They know they have limited options.  Aresco has reached out to them.  But they may want to poach teams not merge.
