Bowlsby on Big 12 staying with NO champ game: 'I feel very good about it. The further we go into this new model better we feel about it.

And he is going to keep saying that right up until the moment they officially announce they have added more teams.

If they're staying at 10, with all teams playing each other every year, that's the way to go ... Wish the AAC would do this.

But the internets and the twitters says otherwise.

Truth: The Big 12 has put more out about NOT expanding, than they have about expanding.

I honestly believe they stick with what they have until its not as profitable as it is now.

This isn't about the fans or about fairness.  The Big 12 will have a championship game very soon, just like the AAC.  The Big 12 will need it to get into the Final Four.

LOL at anyone who thinks Rutgers delivers the NY market. They can barely hold the Brunswick, NJ market.

And no jvwvu, all of my HS buddies went to WVU, Penn State, NYU, UConn, Princeton, Maryland, etc. because Rutgers sucks, not because it's hard to get in or that its expensive. If you can't get into those schools, you go to Rutgers.

I lived in Monmouth County, NJ for 7 years and made regular trips to Rutgers since I was in HS.

I  lived in jersey...in the 60's never thought of Rutgers as a football Power house....

They'll probably wait and see if really does affect them negatively when it comes to the FFF .... but you're probably right, the clowns on the FFF committee will probably hold it against them even though it's the only way to get a true conference champion.

Don't be surprised if ACC takes a go at

(In no particular order)

Navy

UConn

Cincy

WVU (they aren't thrill with B12, and have natural rivalries in ACC already, plus less travel)

they will only take 1 more, an it will be 1 of these... USF prospects of being left out are becoming more real with every passing moment...

ACC seems committed to being a basketball conference.  That makes us persona non grata.  We have NOTHING to offer in that department.  At least nothing the ACC would want.

USF and UCF should offer to take ZERO TV revenue for 3 years in order to get into B12. None. Prove it on the field for 3-5 years and then gradually earn an equal share. It's not that much less than the 2M USF is getting in the AAC and will be made up for in time.

What a brilliant idea. In fact you go first go into work tomorrow give up your salary (tv revenue) and go to a better company but work for free. Nothing screams you are worth something like giving away all your value. And yes we have value
