USF brings Tampa

ACC already has Tampa. We don't bring anything to the ACC unless they lose FSU.

Everybody knows they will lose FSU. They simply don’t know when. As someone else said, being timid is costly. actually as we know all to well, it has cost USF a shot at the p5 for now.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that.

The ACC would have Tampa if it had FSU and USF. I do believe that Tampa is viewed more as an SEC market at this time.

GOR is a house of cards especially when operating with a bad faith partner. Not really sure how you can force a signed party to now be tethered to a new signed partner without having them resign. Additionally the GOR is directly tied to a named contract and the adding of the teams would trigger ESPN’s ability to renegotiate. The remaining ACC wants to hold the big teams hostage while those teams and ESPN want them to be free, the ACC cannot be proactive because an offensive push gives the opportunity for their prisoners to escape.

I don’t see how they have the Tampa market with FSU, the most coverage by the media is UF/SEC. If USF was in the ACC, things would change really quick.

Good points, I haven’t thought of it from that perspective.

I’m sure some people remember how crazy Tampa was going when USF was ranked 2 in BCS. I’m sure ACC should remember as USF destroyed UNC during that same year. USF had the entire city going crazy for the football program. I lived in Tampa for over 40 years and I have never seen that excitement for FSU or UF.

Ehhh, ACC has a presence in Tampa, but I'd argue the Gators/SEC have a stronger hold on the market and surrounding areas. Hell, I live in North Port (an hour+ south of Tampa for the uninitiated) and there's more Gators gear than anything else down here.

There's also the notion that if you grab USF now, you prepare yourself to keep the Tampa market presence when FSU presumably leaves for B1G or SEC.

We own this city when we're good

I am not surprised Colorado wants back into the B12. Nebraska And Colorado never should have left and have struggling in the B1G for football. The B12 is going to be a lot easier for Colorado to compete in especially when USC and UCLA go to the B1G. Colorado has been successful before and is selling out tickets with major hype with Deion in town. It is a big selling point for the B12 to market brining Colorado and Primetime to increase conference interest. I don't see how this helps USF any because Colorado transferred from P5 to P5. The only way USF is getting called up is to win and put a good product on the field. The only strategy we have left is hoping that GOACH is that best coach at USF ever. USF can't afford to fall behind again when conference realignment will be shifting over the next several years .

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
