Here is a great scenario for USF regarding the P4

Why would Central and Cincy leave the B12 so quickly in this scenario?

That would have to happen after the contract expires. No way the G5 would agree to make changes to only include 4 conference champions after they battled to get 6 conferences champs

The current setup for the the 12 team CFP is only for 2024 and 2025. The current contract will expire after that so it's possible from 26 onward we have a different number of conference champ slots. The SEC and B1G will push for more at large spots.

Well eventually all the dominoes will fall and hopefully makes way for USF. Would we rather all the conferences stay still or have the power conferences destroy each other??

That's a bit of a leap haha

Probably because of better travel and more people watching sports that start on Eastern Time.

Yes I do believe they may expand the playoffs at that point. Dont think they will yank the crumbs away from the G5 after just two years lol

More autobids for the top two conferences with autobids? I would think the lesser power conferences and the g5 would throw their hands in the air at this point.

If Colorado finalizes their move to the Big 12 and Arizona follows suit (with potentially ASU), this may end up destroying USF’s chance at a P5 conference. The PAC would get picked through and dissolve(B1G would get their pick of Wash, Stanford, Oregon and finish with whatever they want), which means the B1G wouldn’t look at the ACC for expansion at all. The ACC would be safe until 2036 GoR is up, then the SEC would take what it wants (Clemson, FSU, UNC, whatever) and the leftovers will not equate to a good conference and we’d be left with a P3 and a G6. I hope this doesn’t happen, but I can see as a stronger possibility thank us getting into a good Big 12 or ACC.

If only those four left ACC, I would gladly have USF, Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA move over to backfill the ACC.

For what it's worth, he's been on the Colorado-to-B12 for a while... sure he got the date wrong... but others are reporting the reason Colorado is leaving is because how just how messed up the media rights process has been.

TBF, it was either him or one of the other 12Anon'ers, but he's continued to push back the "deadline." Started way back in like March saying if they didn't get a number by the end of the month the 4 Corners were leaving. Then it was by the end of May, then by the end of June. He's continued to be as he's always been. Throw as much s*** as possible at the wall until something sticks and then says "See? I've been saying this for months!"

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
