How could you forget about the golden hurricanes or the mean green? Whatever you do do not look up what a golden hurricane is on urban dictionary. Someone told me and I did not believe them. So I researched it and I am shocked it still their name.

For what it's worth it's "hurricane" singular.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane

Yeah... strange I know ... but college football nicknames were strange in the early 1900s, it's just that this one stuck.  The Alabama Eleven.  The Florida Alligators.  The Rutgers Queensmen.  The Oregon Webfoots.  The Oklahoma Rough Riders.

They were originally the Tulsa Golden Tornados but some other school had the name so they changed it to Golden Hurricane

In their defense they could not predict the naughty acts that a golden hurricane would refer to in the 2000s.

Are we getting a Pac12 ,big12, ACC or B1G invite? If there is a new  pac deal, it will  probably give a few clues onto whether the Pac wants to expand,  hold the line, and may influence what  happens in the ACC.
