Smart move by the MWC because they'll now get more money from SDSU if they leave and have less time to make things work.

That very strange  sequence of events and kind of makes you wonder did SDSU ever actually get an offer from the p12/b12 or were they trying to make some waves and noise by making themselves available ?

Conference looks better than the AAC but I really don't see it happening.

They probably did what they did because the PAC12 believed they would have had their new deal by the end of June.

Not in a 35k stadium, just sayin'😎🤘

I've seen many a stadium with announced sellout crowds over capacity.

Besides I am gambling that we see that conference championship game before we get to our brand spanking new OCS 😉

Would be great momentum to carry over and the path to winning the AAC got somewhat easier with the best four teams leaving and being replaced with teams of lesser talent.  We got a first year head coach that shows some positive traits but is an unknown factor how how effective he is.  If the defense improves  we could easily go 0.500 or better in the new aac. If the defense doesn't take a big step forward we could easily finish with no AAC wins. Time have to go all in on the hope strategy.

Three?

Yeah if we can't compete in the conference....where is the guy that said we should be FCS?  He might be serving up some crow soon.

Forgot BYu was not apart of the AAC we just played them several times over the last few years.

I think we all agree the3  most  successful teams in the AAC has left. UTSA is the only team coming in that is a top 25-50 program currently. Tulane, SMU, and UTSA will be the top 3 teams is my best guess due to returning coaches and players.  UCF, Cincinnati, and Houston being replaced by UTSA, FAU, NT, Rice, Charlotte, and UAB makes for a weaker conference. So if the coaching staff does  an improved  job with game planning, game management, play calling on both sides of the ball, and the defense takes a step forward we should be able to compete. If the defense doesn't take a major step forward and the coaching staff is an upgrade we still should be able to beat and compete with most of the AAC.

That's not hard to do, I have forgotten Tulsa, and more recently, UNT were in the conference.
