Even he would not argue to reject the invite.

If USF ever gets that big 12 invite then yes I’m sure they will take. I guess the question is will their be any invites. And will ACC be stuck together until 2036.  I’m curious to see what is going to happen after 2036

The bottom line is that this thread is for fun and hopefully helps kill some time during the offseason. Hope no one is betting the farm with any information that we find here lol.  USF just needs to win big consistently and they will be able to call their own shots. Hopefully we are all alive to experience USF winning tons

Very true. But something to consider is that the amount of travel that we currently have in the AAC ( Tulsa, Rice, UTSA, Memphis, Temple, Nort Texas,...) is about the same as we would have if we joined the Big 12. So in my opinion if the Big 12 offers geography should not hold us back from accepting that invitation. But yes we would prefer ACC.

True. And USF should accept the first one to come along because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Don’t you live somewhere in the ACC footprint? Not many people are super excited to drive 10 hrs each way multiple times a year, the drive time to TPA remains the same no matter who we play making every game equally drivable from my perspective.

Yes, I meant the ACC is a much more driveable conference for me. HA! 😉   But 10-hour drives from Tampa are more affordable than flights, especially when you factor in multiple people (such as family or students)... For me, I make the drive to Tampa once or twice per year (as well as trips to Rochester NY which are about the same length).

It may get to the point where USF will have to follow their heart. Does the desire in their hearts want ACC or big 12??

That only works if USF has a choice, tho.  USF cannot afford to pass up on the B12 in the hopes it will get invited to the ACC.

Yeah that is what makes this situation USF may or could be in pretty crazy lol. I trust MK has a lot of good intel and will make sure USF is positioned for the best available outcome. Exciting times for USF.

No one thinks there is a large contingent but there does seem to be some that self identify with adjacent ideas, that there are any (especially when they say they actually like the aac) is nuts.

I truly believe they are simply trying to put lipstick on a pig, kind of like getting rejected by a women and then bashing her and saying she wasn’t worthy of your companionship.

I would need to know her opinions on athletics administration strategies, the aac and conference expansion

Pretty sure she’s got the expansion part covered.

Not so sure, she appears to favor the big 2.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
