Yeah, @Bull Matrix was suggesting it's a good way for us to get off the mat, to get back up again.  I'm only pointing out it would be harder to know we're off the mat if we're now winning but beating subpar teams (it's hard to deny our competition has grown weaker over the last dozen years and fell off a cliff in 2023).  Granted, if we beat down the conference many years in a row it will help us get out. I obviously stand with those who think winning is good.

Winning is the only option. Anyone that thinks moral victories or fictitious accomplishments like we are losing by less need to be removed from the athletic department ASAP.

Pretty simple we heard the praise of AD MK and Jeff Scott for years of changing the culture, losing by less is a moral victory, extending one fbs Jeff, and while actually running  the football program in the worst shape in USF Football History. Winning is the only way out of the AAC. For real culture change to occur we have to start winning, get back to having an aggressive defense, and put a good product on the field.

Boise State and Utah did pretty good beating 90% of their conference mates... Utah did it well enough to get the call.

WVU signed a Grant of Rights through 2031.  So they're in the Big 12 until they can afford to buy their way out.

That is one of the many reasons why I hope USF doesn’t get locked into a GOR deal with the big 12. WVU is now a has been

The b12 isn't going anywhere and the money is much better than the AAC. I don't think they would swap  conferences with USF under any circumstance. They have gotten a lot more money from the b12 for years.

I learned my lesson from Holtz to not fall for coach talk. Leavitt was the coach that i could believe as he delivered.

Legitimately the only good coach out of 5 that have coached a game so far.

WVU would sell their souls for an ACC invite. Problem is that they can’t get passed the Virginia schools and their academics is not in line with ACC. So I’m not so sure USF would want to swap when we will be better off in the long run

Maybe they would be at the bottom in the ACC and is the pay that much greater? They were back with that Grier kid and not sure what happened since.

I do believe the long term pay & stability will be better. Plus it would save them tons of travel costs. If and when USF gets that ACC invite they are going to snap lol

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
