I think the athletic program cares less about academic prestige in a conference. I think they would take the money and run from any power conference. Sadly the invite isn't coming until the product on the football field does a complete 180 from the last 3-4 years.

With MK’s connections with the ACC I do believe we will be good enough…

word on the street is they only care about Women's Basketball. They want to become the #1 Conference to feed talent to the WNBA.
