In my opinion the back to back tenures of Strong and Scott set the program back about 15 years.

Agreed, and considering we have only been around for 26 years, they pretty much buried us.  Someday they will make a documentary about Scott and show what an abject failure and why he is the all time worst coach in the history of CFB.  The guy was incompetent at a level where it would be hilarious if it wasn’t our team that he destroyed.

I disagree. If Golesh is not successful starting next season it will be on him, and not his predecessors. Two or three years is all a good coach needs to turn around a program, and certainly a program that competes in the AAC

How exactly did you come up with that kind of nebulous number ....?

Agree with both. @Friscobull didn’t say anything about Golesh, but he absolutely has to turn this thing around. This year IMO. He’s brought in enough players to compete in this conference.

They were both responding to a comment that the combination of Chuck/Jeff set the program back 15 years ..... which isn't really supportable and doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Frisco agreed with the comment but belgian didn't, so kinda hard to agree with both.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
