Fair enough, but it’s a UM facility, right? I’m not aware of any other team sharing that facility with UM. I don’t know how close it is to campus but I’ve always thought of it as UM’s stadium. Are there plans for a new stadium, honest question?

Also, not sure if USF TBone and Xavier Gomez frequent this site, but:

(1) I sincerely doubt 7 schools bolt from the ACC. That would be an earthquake in college athletics. And unlikely - an example of supply far exceeding demand.

(2) Not sure what "appealing" means. Would I still want to join an ACC without FSU and Clemson? Absolutely! Still better than our current conference.

Yeah I believe he goes back to our C-USA days. However his information is probably just as credible as me lol. I just wanted to point out that USF has been mentioned

There are plans to renovate the Liberty Bowl.

There are plans to renovate, with UM paying for some or all. They are the only tenant right now I think, except for the bowl game, but from what I've been told, the control of the stadium revenue is what matters to conferences ....

Especially since they are looking at adding annual games in Mexico.

Exactly lol. Now we are hearing about an alliance between ACC & PAC12 that will probably add tons more. big 12 stuck looking for G5 schools and will be vulnerable to more conference raids

I disagree. Gonzaga would be the only basketball only team in Big 12 , while the Big East had Seton Hall, Providence, Villanova, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and DePaul. There is no scenario where basketball becomes more important then football like it was in the Big East.

What leverage do they have?  They are already locked in for the the next 13 years??  Should they extend their contract?

Don’t worry because that same person said the PAC 12 was dead lol
