Well I do!! USF will be heading up to Bowling Green, KY to open up the season 9/2/23. And hopefully USF gives the Hilltoppers hell!!

From what I last heard, we were 13 point underdogs.

Not bad. I was expecting around 20 pt underdogs.

With all that being said I’m still going to list the following conferences by pecking order:

BigTen=SEC>ACC>PAC12>big12>AAC>MWC>SBC>MAC>C-USA.

If and a big if is if big 12 can finally lure another school away from the other power conferences. Then that should help move them up over PAC12 in the pecking order

We need like defense boot camp between now and then.

Not many defenses could slow down that WKU offense. Heck one CWT USF’ team got smoked in the Miami Bowl so I’m expecting something like that again lol

I am beginning to think that the PAC12 & ACC will come together to form a strong East Coast & West Coast alliance. Stay tuned

Experts say academic profiles are a huge criterion when league presidents contemplate expansion.

I wouldn't discount ESPN agreeing to shorten the length with devious intentions. The best way to cut future payouts would be to eliminate one of the conferences you're paying out to. We saw it with the Big East. They couldn't get the Big East to agree to the deal they wanted, and instead of risking the Big East getting a bigger contract elsewhere, they sabotaged the conference. I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if ESPN agreed to shorten the deal for a few more millions in the short term, with the intention of pushing a handful of programs to the SEC/Big 12 and letting the others either go to B1G or flounder with the G_ conferences. Then instead of paying 14 teams $30 million or whatever a year, they're paying maybe 4 of those teams $50 million a year and letting the rest figure it out somewhere else (or take a smaller payday in a G_ conference).

Just a note... ESPN actually lost money with the Big East broke up.

The 'new' Big East (basketball) increased their contract... the 'old Big East' formed the AAC and got more money than the old Big East ... and the ACC got an increased contract.

Plus, a shorter contract would add more variability.  One thing ESPN loves about the current ACC contract -- it's a fixed number for a LONG time.  Longer contracts are better for networks than shorter ones.

Lol yes. Who the heck had the idea to sign a long term fixed number like that.

The ACC thought it would mean stability for the conference.  No one could leave for 20 years... and a lot of the ACC loves that. Wake Forest, Duke, Boston College, and others are quite happy about it right now.

    With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
