Funny thing is that game could have been a sellout at 74,000 but USF and the TSA agreed to not sell the endzones for cleaning/labor purposes.  I had 6 friends who walked up to buy tickets 30 minutes before kickoff and got in an enormous line only to be told the game was sold out.  They did however continue to let USF students with ID's enter without a tally or check on the designated student GA section.  Just before the game started students just poured into one of the endzones because there was nowhere else for them to sit.  Good times!

They've stated publicly that the intention is to build 35-40K with the ability to be expanded when the time is right

We've shown we can grow attendance in a major conference when winning. More importantly to this, I think, is we've shown we've grown a donor base while losing .... horribly.

I agree. And it seems like the Big Ten brand is strong enough that in the highly unlikely event it were to choose USF to join in the near term, it could both grow USF into a national brand over the next 10 years and reap the rewards of entering Florida sooner rather than later. 

It looks like FSU and UM are stuck in the ACC, whether they like it or not. You've apparently got 7 ACC schools, including FSU and UM, and their lawyers trying to figure out a way out of the GoR, and nothing seems imminent or promising in that regard (believe me, we would have heard about it by now). If the Big Ten wants to move into Florida, they seem to have two options - wait a really long time (maybe not the full 12 years left on the GoR, but maybe 6 years?), or move now with the only available AAU school available in Florida. 

I know. It's still a pipe dream. But how fun would it be leap frog everyone in the state (except Florida) Deus ex machina style?
