Exactly!! We have to start winning again and win consistently. If we don’t then some other school like UTSA or Tulane will have a cakewalk to the CFP starting in 2024. Tulane would of been in the CFP last season if it was 2024. I don’t think Tulane would have won the big 12, BigTen, SEC so being in AAC helped

Definitely prefer ACC, and to maintain the rivalry game. Best for USF long-term.

Great plan:

1. Go to big 12

2. sign 99 year contract

3. Best teams leave for conference a year later

4. Conference realignment thread goes on for at least another 98 years! SEC and Big10 have won multiple super bowls. Nick Saban is mostly robot parts. USF fans are still clamoring for CJL.

I think saying Syracuse has the NYC DMA is a bit generous and frankly not true.  Their DMA is actually #87 so USF would be 3rd.

USF needs to focus on itself. Academically we would be attractive, Location wise we would be attractive. But we need to WIN first and Improve Facilities. It finally looks like we are on board to do both.

With that said our two best shots at moving up are: Big12 and ACC

Big12 will probably hold off on expanding until they see what happens with PAC and ACC. So doubt there is a spot there for us until next tv contracts for BigTen, Big 12 and PAC. So we are talking rumblings in 2028-2030.

ACC- with their GOR situation is doubtful they get anyone to move until it ends or gets close to ending. USF chances there are slim unless FSU/ Miami leave. Their contract ends 2036, but moves could happen when the other contracts come to review.

So really we need to win, dominate the AAC in the next 5-6 years. If we do that, we will have access to playoffs and be attractive for next moves
