Decades of abject failure across the board in sports should be enough. We've continually watched programs come from behind us and blow past us, even with less funding. Ucf, now Fau were jokes to us 10 years ago but are now well clear of us. 

 

No harm in waiving a white flag. Just drop football and move everything else down to something we can be competitive in. Maybe the big south or the mid eastern athletic. Start a rivalry with famu.

Agreed, statistically usf is the worst athletics program in the country at the big 3 men's sports. I don't think we can be competitive... we just don't have the resources of a real D1 school,  which is showing up in the win loss column...

There is no reason we can't be competitive. We just need to make the right hires and built the OCS. The good news is if FAU can make it to the final four, and UCF can get into the Big 12, and Tulane can win a New Year bowl, there is no reason we cant as well. Our administration just needs to make the right decisions, and our time will come.

Easiest way to get rid of it the coaches, AD, and athletic department finally due to their job to prioritize winning.

They've literally accomplished more in this ncaa run than we have in any relevant sport. 

That this university hasn't figured out how to do anything well in any sport after so long is really something 

Also look at FGCU.  They didn’t begin D1 hoops till 2011.  They made the sweet 16 in 2013.  They also made the dance in 2016 and 2017.

Of course that's how ... and I guess the Woeful Willies are just histrionically over reacting with the crying about just shutting everything down. It's just symbolic of the "uniqueness" of part of our fan base ...

We don't need shut everything down. We need to cleanse the athletic department of anyone that supported the stench of losing for this long and put people in place who dream of winning and will accept nothing less. The problem is we keep hiring bad coach after bad coach in the major sports.  The current AD seems to be writing a playbook on how to ruin a d1 athletic department by extending everyone including the worst FBS coach in modern history.
