We are on the West coast of Florida so the Pac12 makes total sense.

Nope!! Why join a conference with all that travel especially with the 12 team playoffs coming. AAC will be a better fit

it would depend on what other teams would be in the PAC. Lets say you still have 5-6 remaining teams from the current PAC plus SMU, Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, UTSA, Tulane, Memphis, USF,  and maybe a few more from the East, and create a national conference, I personally would be cool with it.

And even if we were on an island isolated from the rest of the PAC I would still be ok with being in the PAC.

I did my undergraduate at USF, but then went to Stetson law school, so Stetson has been my second team after USF. Stetson plays college football in the Pioneer league with teams like Valparaiso, Butler, and the University of San Diego just to name a few, also isolated from most of the teams they are playing. If I remember correctly, but not 100 percent sure, wasn't Louisiana Tech in the WAC for a while. So there is some precedent for this.

I mean lets be honest, the Big Ten is set to have USC and UCLA.  Traditional regional conferences are probably out of the question.

Would the Pac 12 be a power conference at that point, or would they be relegated to non power status the way the old Big East and then AAC was.

I would like to join the Pac 12 once they lose a bunch of schools, IF they are able to retain autonomous status.  But they are getting a lot of bad press now.  Would they be able to retain power status, or would it be reduced to the P4.  If they are, then it may not be worth it.

If they lose the 4 corners but are able to retain the rest and retain autonomy, may be something to pursue.  We need to get our foot back in the door somehow.
