It makes so much sense for the three to go together it's scary...Easy/cheap travel to away games.....estimated 60-70% of Florida Population ...There is enough local talent to support all three schools...

This rumor very well could be true simply because it isn't really anything groundbreaking.   The ACC will get carved up, its not a matter of if, but simply when.  Teams have to realize this and will make the appropriate moves to stay at the "big boy" table.  UNC has been the apple of the eye for the B1G and SEC, so them becoming a YES to the SEC where the money will be as good if not better than the B1G (once the SEC network is up and running), and they get to stay in the south is really a no-brainer.  Miami knows that FSU will either go to the B1G (longshot), or take the lifeboat in the Big 12.  No sense in them waiting around and risk being left behind.  FSU won't take them to the B1G with them, so them making a sure bet on the Big 12 is smart.  As far as the FSU part, this is simply just in line with the FSU and B1G rumors (that they are an option).   FSU is likely just waiting for a yes/no from the B1G before becoming a definite yes to the Big 12.

With the Maryland/ACC lawsuit seeming like it wil be settled for somewhere in the $20-30 million dollar range (and possibly soon), then the dominoes could start falling real soon.

If we are to believe the rest of his rumor, then I guess we need to hope for a FSU to B1G move.   At the very least (if FSU does go Big 12), if its the ACC simply losing 6 teams (FSU, UM, UNC + UVA/Ga Tech/?), then they'll likely look to add 4 to get back to 12.  I would guess it would likely be UConn, Cincy, USF + UCF/Temple.   Still a much better situation than we are currently in.

There was a time (probably 2 years ago) that  I would hem and haw against UCF going with USF and Miami, but I wouldn't complain.  Especially considering how far away the rest of the B12 is.  It would be nice to have them as a close conference mate.

If USF and UCF are more attractive together, lets not blink... Or make eye contact, but we should embrace this

Fl pop: 19.3m

Tampa metro: 2.8m

Orlando metro: 2.2m

Miaimi metro: 5.7m

10.7m of 19.3m = 55% of the entire state.

SIDENOTE: Even if the Big 12 rumors aren't true, I believe Miami and FSU are likely to leave the ACC, making room for a reunion with our ex-Big East-ers

Which is a step up from where we are, but a move to the B12 is a giant leap for Bulls kind.  It moves us past the ACC.  It would be  huge for USF.

Not to mention that the B12 and SEC have the new contract bowl game.  It's the PAC12 to the B1G for the SEC.

UNC to SEC was talked about months ago. If I recall there were whispers of UNC and Duke to the SEC.

If USF, UCF, and Miami plus another ACC team went to big 12 and UNC and another ACC team went to the SEC and FSU went to the Big10... Well the ACC would be toast. It would be so much worse than it was and even worse than the big east was 3 years ago.

I hope we get into the big12.

I don't have any predictions on who goes where but the above scenario would be good for USF.

Works out well for us.  Opens a spot in the B1G for FSU leaving room in the B12 for USF.  USF is not getting into the B1G

I dont see all 3, Miami, USF, and UCF at 14. I see USF, Miami, Clem and probably Vt or UL. I say go to 16 with VT/UL and UCF/NCSt.

UNC has offers from both SEC and B1G, if its SEc its because Sec takes Duke too.

B1G gets UVA, GT, FSU, BC (hockey), ND and possibly Pitt.
