To me this was one of the most interesting aspects of the UCLA/USC to Big 10 story.  USC, as private, a much different animal.

I would agree with that if CUSA annexed the remaining four football schools, but I’m ok agreeing to disagree. I usually just lurk on this board, but the logic in that article was bad enough that it deserved a comment.

We can ..... and if the AAC recognized records/stats prior to 2013-14, I'd maybe tend to lean your way but they don't. It was more a merger, similar to the formation of CUSA, of a group of teams. I didn't really read the rest of the article so couldn't judge how bad it was in total but I'll take your word there.

The article wasn’t that bad, really the only disagreement is that they will keep the PAC name which they will, he alluded to this as a possibility. Same as Big East using it again in hoops and the AAC being born out of the wreckage. For all practical purposes the conference is dead and will exist in the future in name only IMO, which was the main point of the story.

The next big announcement will be how much is ESPN wiling to pay the PAC and if they will ask for expansion. I’m going to go with at least two, SDSU and SMZu get the call. Don’t be surprised if the PAC goes to unbalanced payments with rewards to those who are at the top. Any additions will get a lower cut but still make more than they currently do.

I hope the Pac doesn't go away to keep a little tradition in all this.

Don’t think the PAC will go away. Won’t surprise me if they get a few big 12 schools. Also, ucla could have trouble when being able to leave cal Berkeley..
