I'm an Irish Catholic and Like ND just because of that but when I go to Mass I don't see nearly as many people as I used too. While it makes me sad that religion is not what it used to be, it really shocks me that ND still has the power they do in media rights

I am one of the select few that always thought the Rudy story was lame.  How crappy of a player would you have to be for the only way you could dress out for one game in your entire career is to have the entire team threaten to quit. Dude should have picked another sport, his game was ass.

It was a dramatization... in reality, the captain and the new head coach had Rudy dress for the game.  And remember this was Notre Dame in the early 1970s... before there were scholarship limits and the team was among the best in the nation for most of the decade before - so the scholarship players were that much better than the walk-ons.
