I think there is a little more to that story...

Yea. Orgeron turned a blind eye to his players’ off the field behavior, as well as showing questionable behavior himself after his divorce. I really enjoyed him as a coach too, a true Cajun.

Not going to lie, if there was a chance to swap coaches when he was fired and send them LSU I would have been happy. Eddie O would have this team playing some southern cajun hard nose football . Never would happen though. Could you imagine him at a boat parade? I bet he gets a great job and money if he wants it at a top 25 program. He may just enjoy the cash and pirate life...

- First 10 win season

- Started longest streak of 30 points per game in the nation started (since beaten but was record at time)

- Responsible for Gulf Coast offense, 4th Qtr "swag", "Bay Made" mantra

- His last season was our first that we ended with Top 25 ranking

- Left team in better place than he found it (we had another 10 won season after)

- Recruited (? I think) and developed the most recent bulls hall of Fame QB

I don't get the hate for trying to get paid while you can.  Look at Leavitt, how did his devotion to the team over the next gig (could have had Bama right?) work out for him?  Kicked to the curb when he didn't deliver the moon and a disgruntled player said some junk.

All of these guys crapping on CWT for chasing a dream forget that in his introduction speech he plainly stated that he left WKU only for the chance to win a National Championship. Then the old Big East blew up. I applaud him for MAKING his opportunity.

But that's good.  We get back on realignment and not recreation of Willie.

Well his best show was at Oregon  and Fsu but he was far from it. No hard feelings on getting paid.  Thank him for his time and here. We can always be proud we never got to see the turnover man purse here.

Sorry boss we got distracted talking about the realignment of Willie's coaching career and bank accounts.

The Big East blew up before CWT joined -- when Pitt and Syracuse were announced as moving to the ACC, Holtz was in his 2nd of 3 seasons.  By the time CWT was hired, the end of the Big East was on the horizon since West Virginia, Notre Dame (Olypmic sports), Rutgers, & Louisville had all announced their departure before Holtz was fired here at USF.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
