My take on expansion: there’s only so much we can do. We can’t control what other conferences do. All we can control is how much we invest in athletics and win. The rest should take care of itself, but if it doesn’t, at least we got to support our team and enjoy success (however limited because of who we play in our conference).

It will work out.  They are working on the appropriately sized stadium, and we will have a fantastic gameday experience.  We will build our own brand identity and that will merge into the lane of overall Tampa Bay which is one of the top growing markets in the entire country.

I get your point however just disagree with it.  Many of us know we are not the prettiest single girl in the room however some act like we are a supermodel.  I don’t understand this absence of reality but simply play along and have some fun with it. There is not one sane person on this board that seriously thinks we are going to the big 10 or SEC, they are simply dreaming the same way you dream about winning the lotto.  I just don’t think this turns away fans.

Fair enough, my interpretation of USF is only through this board and maybe I am misreading it, but I swear the “puppy’s and sunshine” posts I see sometimes does make me wonder. The USF Athletics “social economy” is not good and I just want a little more of that stuff from that old movie Network:

I guess I am not sure myself, I just assumed there wasn’t anyone naive enough to believe some of this nonsense about going to a super conference when we have only won one G5 game in the past two years. However  I am calling for six plus wins this year so maybe I am part of the problem, who knows.
