The ACC will not be taking USF anytime soon. We suck and are small time right now, unfortunately.
Can you image the message board material:

- SEC takes OU and UT

- B10 takes USC and UCLA

- ACC takes…USF? 😂 No way.

Winning cures all. That’s how programs like Utah and UCF (ugh) got to the P5. Unfortunately, I don’t think our current head coach know how to do that which is incredibly saddening.

Once again, not saying it will happen but the ACC needs EXTRA income, to do that adding schools might be the only solution. As for winning remember BigTen adding Rutgers. And not like Texas and UCLA have been winning.

The ACC needs a way to get Clemson and FSU to 70 million a year to quiet them down, and they’ll add anyone that can get them that cash. There is no one out there the ACC can add to match BigTen and SEC.

USF could also tell the ACC for the first ____ years in the conference we'll take 20 million a year in tv revenue. The remaining 30 mill can go to Clemson/FSU/UNC to keep them happy.

-USF gets more relevant opponents so more revenue and relevance in the Tampa area

-USF gets more TV revenue than in the AAC

-ACC gets a bunch of extra games in Tampa each year. That plus FSU & Miami will really tilt the state towards being more ACC than SEC focused. Also helps recruiting.

-ACC can give more money to their big brands to keep them happy

Well said CB! It is crazy to think USF sucks when we already kicked many of the P5 tails up & down the football field especially those schools residing in both the ACC & Big Ten. I get a kick out of the Wvu fans who seem to forgot about USF. I guess all those butt kickings on the field gave them selective memory lol

You could have also added Maryland to that as well.

That only works if new teams are guaranteed to generate that much money. In your case, USF would be worth $50 million but would only take $20M so the rest can be used for uneven payouts. I just don't think that's realistic.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
