Thanks, man! Think USF has been down too long and what is down must eventually rise back up. I believe the big 12 helped spark USF with motivation to get better fast. Seeing all the OCS talk and the IPF become reality on where we are heading. Feels like we are back to making things happen instead of waiting around like we have been doing the past decade or so.

You are probably right. He will claim some last second snafu prevented it from happening. But, at the same time, you never know…

Yes I agree lol. Nothing is known as they tend to keep these under the media’s radar.  I was surprised last year when SEC invited OU & Texas. I was surprised when BigTen invited UCLA & USC, heck I’m still shocked they invited Rutgers lol. So I’m not gonna be shocked moving forward unless USF doesn’t get invited lol. We have too much going for us.

The ACC might be doing some due diligence on possible replacements, but there is no reason to act until they are compelled to do so.  The conference knows there are programs would would jump the first chance they get... but the conference may also feel confident that chance is 2036.

The only possible option would be adding Pac 10 teams if that conference implodes.  Adding Stanford and Cal would mean new markets for the ACC network, which would increase the $$ for the conference... but at the same time adding any team could threaten the Grant of Rights, which are specifically tied to the "ESPN Agreement" -- and the draft I read from The Athletic did not have any clause that would have the GoR apply to a new agreement.

ACC commish Jim Phillips on SXM today said the era about a school’s academic standing being a driving force in college athletics is over, unfortunately.
