I wouldn't say he's a news outlet, but as far as the realignment guys go, he's one of the top ones. He seems very confident about this one, which really puts him in a vulnerable position considering he prides himself on the thousands that follow him for realignment news.

It's ok, i bought into one wrong rumor a year ago and get excoriated by the great unwashed, while they are wrong 7 times a day and claim to be the "pope's holy trousers"- Daniel Gravits(aka Sean Connery). Such is life in the Bullosphere.

ACC would be a better fit but Big 12 is going to be respected more.

Travle costs would probably come into play as well. ACC would be nice especially if miami were still there.

Does Nebraska have the same plan to get AAU membership?

They had AAU membership when they moved and lost it one year later. Many speculate that they never would have been invited if they didn't have it in the first place. 

 

On another note, I follow realignment very closely, and in my personal opinion, I think we're looking down 3 roads with varying probabilities:

60% chance FSU and Miami exit the ACC, leaving us and UCF to take their spots

39.9% chance our conference is actually viable in its current configuration and we compete in a MWC-type conference indefinitely.

0.1% chance both FSU and Miami are unavailable/overlooked by the big 12 and USF/UCF go there as a package.
