Scrap off a little of that belief and put in my drink please! 😀

I have some too.  We were putting in zero effort before and now we are.  Combine that with the media market...

In my post (immediately above RTB's) , you can see the previous throw-crap-at-the-wall from MHver3... where he says Utah might be going to the ACC... the Big 12 wanted AZ-ASU-Col-Utah ... so that leaves just 3 of those 4.

What makes sense in my head, would be Colorado to the ACC. Utah would have an annual Holy War with BYU, and I think both AZ schools stick together

Regardless of what happens with respect to USF, isn’t it delightful to watch “P5” schools squirm in their seats and fret about their futures? Not quite “blue blood” enough, or subject to legal obstacles, preventing them from moving forward.

For example, there’s a lot of consternation right now in my neck of the woods about the Grant of Rights and how it has negatively impacted FSU’s ability to get into the SEC or B1G.

Maybe they should build a new stadium? Their old concrete one is pretty ****** and uncomfortable to sit in. Tradition be damned.

Can't believe WVU, Louisville, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse have been gone for 10 years-ish

Relegation and promotion?  Love the idea.

I fully support it. Have each P5 conference tied to a G5 Conference. Top three move up bottom three move down.

The only problem I see is financials. A P5 school would be going from making a ton of money, to significantly less in the G5 league. No school would ever agree to that.

Edit: I am a firm believer of capping everything. Cap for coaches salary, evenly shared profits across all schools, cap for NIL deals for students. Spread television and streaming rights across multiple platforms at a flat rate as well. None of these ideas will even be thought of by the higher-ups though.

Makes way too much sense. Which means it’ll never happen.

Why would anyone that is already in agree to a system that only has downside and why would networks allow themselves to have their contacts tied to forces they would not control and that would have negative consequences for them?

It only makes sense because we are a have not but there is nothing about Alabama and Troy swapping places that is ever going to make sense to Alabama, the SEC, tv networks or just about anyone in America.
