You don’t have to be an Opera singer or have even been to one to know when someone is doing a bad job at it. Move up in conferences and win games, that’s all that matters and we aren’t doing much on either front.  Also a McDonald’s manager would even know not to engage in public disagreements with a customer much less a long back and forth. Please point me in the direction of any success MK has had managing athletics anywhere that leads anyone to have any faith in him? It would be generous to label his time here a failure.

1) Massive % increase in donors

2) IPF

3) OCS and don’t say it isn’t happening.

4) 6 Conference Championships in the last year

If you don’t like him or agree with him move on. Why waste your time bashing an organization you don’t agree with?

He most certainly was not. That is a gross misrepresentation of the tweet thread and proof that people infer what they want from texts and posts.

I'm shocked ..... shocked, I say!

You would not consider it to be a public argument with disagreement and back and forth? If things were going well he would probably be busy with that and not have time for such nonsense but alas here we are, can you think of another AD that you see engaging in twitter fights with fans? When people in high positions get into public exchanges with their customers it usually signals things are going bad for them. There is no way to spin a context where arguing with a fan publicly beginning at 1 am and then picking back up again later in the morning is a good look or a good sign. At how many disagreeing responses back and forth would you consider something to be a fight? Get moved up or get to stepping, that’s the only thing that MK is going to be measured on at this point and not niche concerns about funding women’s sports, discussions like this are tantamount to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and things people only do when they have no idea what to do about the giant hole in the ship their direction led us into.

Jesus.... We have devolved to middle school

Mr. hyperbole doesn't recognize hyperbole when it's used against him, suuuuure.

You got me, you literally did not use the word unhinged.  My entire point is therefore null and void.  Even though MKs behavior in no way shape or form matches the characterization you used in your multiple posts ranting about it; and the entire point of my post was to call out how disingenuous and stupid it was to imply as such....you did not use the word unhinged.

My only point was that if we were having serious discussions with anyone about conference realignment MK would have a very easy job of tuning out this nonsense but while on vacation this was something he thought was worth his time. Can’t talk right now I’m a bit busy would be a bit more reassuring a response and no one would have cared if Woman’s sports was losing a booster, since most people care so little about it that it has to be legislated to exist.

It's going to have to be the same way we got promoted initially, location and potential ......

This is offensive to many that put in the work to build a successful program.

The invite was received in 2003.  At that time USF was 51-26 (Leavitt was plateauing already) and a helluva story with wins over top ranked I-AA teams and I-A teams (remember Pittsburgh?, #25 Bowling Green?).  That is far different than looking at a team that has gone 14-32 in last four years, with seven wins in last three seasons.

You're talking about a much bigger bet on location...and maybe some potential (but no such sign of it to outsiders).

The man supposedly took a call from and had a conversation with a loony former board member. He obviously has a soft soft spot for knuckleheads ....... Making a mountain out of this molehill is just you being you.

And yet it was Tom Jurich who made the final push across the line.  The USF community - admin, coaches, teams, fans, alumni - set it up.  But it might have been for naught had USF not had a champion on the inside.

Now ... I think USF is set fairly well again, except for the most recent seasons.

Why is he trying to appease such a trivial thing at all hours of the morning? Surely there must be more important concerns at the moment, unless there isn’t.

USF has been working pretty hard to cultivate a cheerful twitter following as it seems that is another thing UCF destroys us on.

I don't know why any dude on the internet would expect an AD to call him.  That's ridiculous.

You honestly wouldn’t feel better about conference roulette if MK didn’t have time to have soft spots for knuckleheads? Between vacationing with his family and dealing with hopeful conference mates i would like to think he wouldn’t have time to trip over dollars in order to pick up change for woman’s sports from people that have a strange obsession with it.
