Now the ball turns to ACC, they can’t wait until 2036, they need to open that contract by adding schools and going to uneven payments. WV and USF would be their best bets. If WV balks then Memphis and USF.

As I keep reminding people is NOT the adds that would bring ACC money is the fact that the league is undervalued under their current contract.

Is that necessarily true that it opens up the contract up? I feel like they'd just work with the value it has or amend something for the new teams. 

 

But even if we're to say it does open up the value and let the ACC catch up some of it's missed value, what's the end goal? The ACC as-is or plus some combination of WVU, USF, and Memphis will still be far short of the SEC and B1G. Which is a problem when you have teams in there that know they can jump to one of those leagues at some point.

The ACC as you know it is done. The only question is when. If they can break the GOR it will be now, if they can’t break the GOR then it will be in 2036. But if they are stuck until 2036, they need to find a way to open contract and find new revenue.
