I think that's an acute accent and not a tilde, which would make the pronunciation "Grow-THAY".

In regard to the subject of the thread, I'm not sure that his posts have anything to do with conference realignment but might be something to do with working with the football program in some way.

I think that enough water has passed under the bridge, and money tends to make you more forgetful.  As shown by the "handshake" deal between the Pac-12, Big 10 and ACC 10 months ago that was supposed to bring stability, everyone in reality is out for themselves.

By the way, I appreciate your thoughtfulness as an opposing fan on this board.

It would matter what the outs in the contract are, I believe in this last round people were fearful enough that they needed to get on a lifeboat soon that they may have agreed to far less favorable terms then TCU would have with the Beast as we probably needed them more than they needed us, no one was discussing USC to the Big10 so I doubt anyone considered the ramifications of that in their contract negotiations.
