The only problem is if the ACC loses UNC, FSU, Miami, VT, Clemson, Pitt, and GT, then it won't be a power 5 conference anymore, and even if we get into the revamped ACC it will be pretty much the same as now - we'll be looking at the power 4 and wishing we were in that group.

I wouldn't call it exactly the same as now. It be more like the same as being in the Big East the past 8 seasons, which quite frankly is better than what we have now. "Now" is Conference USA.

And I agree that if the ACC comes calling for us, there is a good chance it won't be until it has lost true Power status, just like the old Big East was the runt of the BCS litter. The odds that we will ever be in an ACC with North Carolina or Duke strikes me as quite small, and an ACC without them won't be the "ACC" as we now know it.

It will feel familiar though with UConn, UL,ND(drama sports only) Pitt and Syracuse in it. You really don't believe any of them are gonna pay huge exit fee to ACC after just paying one to BE?

Except for Notre Dame, none of those schools will have the option of paying an exit fee from the ACC, since no better conference will want them.

Neigh, or nay? Nice blonde. Or if you're in a Public Library in East Asia, cute pony.

With luck, in about 20 or 30 years, USF will be where most fans think (wish) they should be in now. Until then it would be nice for the fan base to face reality. USF would be in a Power 5 conference now if they were wanted and the scenarios that people keep dreaming up to get USF into one now would mean that conference would be CUSA 3.0 and no longer a power conference.

Don't give a **** about 30 years from now as I am probably dead. They need to keep pushing for the ACC every day, every waking hour.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
