With the recent additions of BYU, Cincinnati, UCF and Houston to the Big 12, speculation and concerns have all but calmed for now, but it is an every day process.

I stick by my opinion that USF football is dead.

Not dead but we are critically injured and in intensive care on a morphine drip, I am currently on a Tito’s drip to cope with my grief.

USF is the old dying guy, Judy is the guy trying to hand him over, and Charlie Strong is the one that hits him over the head at the end

When the University is essentially suppressing athletic donations in a bid to increase its endowment, that is going to happen

That could be one possible reason that USM has kicked our ass for 15 years ...

You don't allow the same level of fundraising and solicitation for athletics while pursuing all the big donors from the academic side of things. Since 2010 the endowment grew from about $300 million to $600 million. When the academics are gobbling up nearly every major donation it is pretty hard to grow your athletics.

And 2005 - 2010 .....?

I agree, in response to my post a few days ago he had a run on sentence that was very impressive. In fact it was so long I had to take a pee break before I could finish. Of course I’m old (73) and my bladder is the size of a walnut.

It's all about the prostate. Mine was almost 3 times the average.  Had a procedure 3 1/2 weeks ago.

Southern Miss going up without us would definitely shake my assertion that I won't be that upset until a younger football program than ours gets called up and we don't ........... but having said that, just as an FYI to some that still don't get the adversity we've been facing in the Donor Department. Since 2005, when we entered a big boy conference, to 2019, we've had an accumulation of Contributions to the tune of $43M. That same time frame, USM has had $57.5M.

Got a tour of their facilities a few years back.  They were in the midst of a renovation so the lockers, etc were in mess. Never saw the finished product as they bolted for Univ of San Diego.  That was just before our former Assoc AD and a Bulls Club person left there. I did get to see Brett's seat.

Edit: Their baseball facility was cool in that you could back your pickup into a spot outside the outfield fence and watch from the comfort of your truck.  The stadium was not nearly as nice as ours but that part stood out.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
