Let’s say this happens. Who do we grab to back fill our conference?

I am sure they will look at some of the following: Colorado State, App State, Coastal Carolina, Airforce, and Army (who won’t come).

Who cares?  At that point, my interest level in USF would wane.  Playing Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and UAB while Oviedo plays Ok State TCU and Texas Tech would just about kill it for me.

Not if the AAC teams don't jump ship. What will the Big 12 do if they're future existence is dependent on raiding the AAC and fail? The Big 12 will then be forced to collapse, leaving the AAC in a better position in the long run. I hope Aresco has some chops and lays it all on the table.

Why would anyone not jump ship? It’s not in their interest and the b12 would then just become more powerful than the aac by adding Boise, BYU , Colorado state and who ever else that doesn’t matter.

How could this happen?! I mean, we play in Raymond James Stadium!

Because the Big 12 media rights are expiring in a couple years and is clearly a conference on the decline. Think Big East 2.0

I am thinking that and I’m also thinking that’s better than being in the AAC. In order to get people to jump that’s all this conference has to offer being better than the current conference and it offers that in spades. There isn’t a single reason to believe that the b12 remix addition isn’t going to be better than staying pat and at least 4 people are going to understand that. The most important part of hard ball negotiation is knowing who has the leverage, the AAC has zero leverage and people are leaving and there is nothing anyone can do about it but try to be gone as well.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
