Yep especially because you are only pulling in 4 teams from the AAC to make that obviously more attractive conference. There isn’t a team in the AAC that wouldn’t be traded straight up for BYU and most would be traded for Boise the remaining B12 teams aren’t Texas and Oklahoma but they are far more valuable than what we currently have and are able to pull up the best of the rest to make the best conference they can. The AAC doesn’t have that luxury because it would need as much subtraction as it would addition.

Wouldn't you be pulling in at least 6 AAC programs to get to 16 Big XII programs (assuming that BYU and Boise St. would be the other 2)?

Not in that image provided it would be 5 with the other one being Colorado State but even at 6 the best way to get there is by not starting off with keeping the entire AAC together other than to keep the lesser brand name and worse teams for no apparent reason

That image looks like our best case scenario, in my opinion.

I wonder what the B12 would be like if they expanded the first time around and snagged us, Cincy, Boise, and BYU. I wonder which members were against it the first time around.

Probably the two that are now leaving them high and dry.

That sounds eerily similar to some teams not wanting to sign the Beast tv deal. Almost as if you can directly tell who plans on not being somewhere very much longer based on how unimportant they decide dealing with changing landscapes are. If you say “hey Texas I noticed all of the stable conferences have more teams and are actually adding teams instead of losing them and our name is the b12 so do you think we should at least try to get back to that number?” and their response is “so what who cares” that should be a better clue that you need to act quickly than if they said they liked the idea.

The real question about the Big12 is will they be able to pay? I’m not sure about the valuation post Texit. How much do they lose? And will it be worth it for us?

For the Big 12 to grow into a vibrant new league for the next generation, the league’s leaders need to resist all of the quick-trigger leadership instincts.

Would depend on how many league games.

1 or 2 tops with the other division.
