Ouch! The replies to his tweet.

Let me guess now that we have brought UCF up for no apparent reason they no longer feel the same connection to selling a package and would like to move on alone?

There is nothing Aresco can do as there is not a chance that even a single remaining B12 team would join the AAC, he can only wait to see how dismantled his conference becomes and then dismantle the conferences below him accordingly. He can develop the greatest super group of G5 programs the world has ever seen and that won’t change the fact that every single team in the G5 would leave immediately to join whatever is left of the b12 because that’s the better option no matter what anyone would like to  pretend or wish away.

Completely agree; a 16 team B12 is far superior to a 20 team AAC. Less revenue sharing and getting away from the lower level teams is a huge plus.

Here’s a take from the local turd

The Bulls and Knights got a boost when the Pac-12 announced it wasn’t pursuing expansion. The Big 12 leftovers are out of Power Five lifeboats.

Yep especially because you are only pulling in 4 teams from the AAC to make that obviously more attractive conference. There isn’t a team in the AAC that wouldn’t be traded straight up for BYU and most would be traded for Boise the remaining B12 teams aren’t Texas and Oklahoma but they are far more valuable than what we currently have and are able to pull up the best of the rest to make the best conference they can. The AAC doesn’t have that luxury because it would need as much subtraction as it would addition.

Tulane's stadium is great.  Would be perfect for us with an additional 10,000 seats and WITHOUT the Glazer name on it.

Unless they pay for it.

Bit Vinik Field has a nice ring to it.

He mentions the fact that Oviedo is ahead of us in terms of facilities. Doesn’t he know we play at the same stadium as the Super Bowl champions? And we upgraded our locker room at said stadium? And we’re building an IPF (I think)?

But seriously, the fact Oviedo has been better than us at winning football games lately, shouldn’t be a deciding factor. Rutgers is in the B10 after all.

Memories...

Some great and wild times.... Heated matchups but boy, those were fun. The things I'd do to go to Morgantown for a conference matchup with these guys again.

You had to bring that up... as much money as they have siphoned off taxpayers and the community in TAMPA, you would think they could be as generous to the local football squad.   But no, they didn't want USF to hang a 8 x 10 plaque in their stadium.  :loser:

Sort of. A lot of "don't bring USF because they are currently bad at football."

I would actually love this conference!! I think there is good balance and good potential for some potential power teams to develop. There’s also some good rivalries in there.

Yea, this image got excited. ****, I hope this happens.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
